Photo File & Crop Guide for Metal Prints
Start with your original photo
Upload a JPEG or PNG up to 40 MB and 120 megapixels. Use the original-resolution file rather than a screenshot, social-media download or small message attachment. Your original pixels are preserved; cropping is recorded as separate production instructions.
Choose and review your crop
Select the print size and portrait, landscape or automatic orientation. Drag the photo or use zoom and position controls to compose it. Check faces, edges, signatures and important details. Confirm that you have permission to print the image and approve the crop before adding it to your bag.
Check effective resolution
The studio calculates pixels per inch after cropping. We recommend 150 PPI or higher. At 100–149 PPI, inspect detail carefully; below 100 PPI, softness is likely. The studio requires acknowledgment below 150 PPI. Image quality and viewing distance also affect the result.
Understand the preview
The room view illustrates your selected crop proportions. It is not a physical scale or color proof. Screen calibration, surface choice and reflections affect perceived color. Silver surfaces show aluminum through the lightest image areas.
Keep your files available
Saved browser projects remain on the device and browser where you created them. Clearing browser data can remove those projects. Keep your own original file. Uploaded originals for submitted orders are stored privately for production access.
